Joshua Rosendahl Obituary, Death; – A 27-year-old man passed away on Wednesday morning following a collision involving a stolen vehicle and alcohol in Lake County, according to officials.
About 5 a.m., deputies from the Lake County sheriff’s office responded to a severe head-on collision on Route 134, located east of North Catherine Street.
The individual who called 911, and was part of the incident, requested an ambulance.
Investigators reported that a Honda sedan, which had been stolen the previous day, was heading west on Route 134 when it veered into the eastbound lanes and collided with a GMC work truck. The driver of the Honda sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Deputies discovered an open bottle of whiskey in his lap.
The driver of the GMC was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Honda driver was identified as Joshua Rosendahl, 27, from Ingleside. Preliminary autopsy findings indicated that he died from blunt force trauma to his head, neck, and chest, as stated by authorities.
The Technical Crash Investigations Team of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation.
