Nicky Perez,Lymarys Walker Obituary, Death; – In an update on Wednesday, the New Haven police disclosed the identities of both individuals who lost their lives in a tragic crash that involved a vehicle fire over the weekend.
At 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, city police responded to the vicinity of Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, situated between Adeline Street and Printer’s Lane, following a report regarding a vehicle that had collided with a tree and subsequently caught fire.
After the New Haven firefighters extinguished the flames, they discovered a body in the back seat of the vehicle, according to police reports.
Shortly thereafter, Yale-New Haven Hospital notified officers that a 40-year-old man, who was also part of the incident, had been transported to the emergency department by a private vehicle.
The police have identified the victims of the crash as Nicky Perez, aged 40, and Lymarys Walker, aged 37, both residents of New Haven.
Investigators are of the opinion that only a single vehicle was involved in the accident.
