Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw III Obituary, Death; = A homeless individual was the victim of a deadly shooting that occurred on Sunday in west Macon, as reported by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. The incident took place near a homeless encampment located on Eisenhower Parkway and Harrison Road, according to Coroner Leon Jones.
Deputies arrived at a wooded area adjacent to the Murphy USA gas station at 6040 Harrison Road, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape and patrol vehicles on Sunday morning, as stated by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page. By Tuesday, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim has been identified as Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw III, a 46-year-old resident of Fort Valley, as per the coroner’s office. An autopsy for Crenshaw’s body was scheduled for Wednesday, Jones indicated.
