Jaime Gonzalez Obituary, Death; – The 41-year-old individual, who was fatally shot by law enforcement last week after reportedly aiming a shotgun at them, has been named.
According to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, Jaime Gonzalez succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries following the confrontation with the San Antonio Police officers.
The tragic event commenced at approximately 10:30 a.m. on August 29, when police were summoned to a residence located off North Cherry Street near Lamar Street.
Police report that the incident began when the man engaged in a dispute with two other motorists. He pursued them and confronted one of the drivers before returning to his residence to retrieve a shotgun. At a certain point, he discharged several rounds into the air, which led to the police being notified.
Upon their arrival, he allegedly aimed the firearm at the officers, who then responded with gunfire, resulting in his death.
Authorities have indicated that the man had a record of prior disturbances at his residence, although they did not disclose extensive details. The two other motorists involved are currently being interviewed.
