Mitchell Jacobs Obituary, Death; – Columbus police are conducting an investigation following the death of a motorcyclist on September 1, who was involved in a collision with a car in the Driving Park area on the East Side of the city.
Mitchell Jacobs, aged 55, was traveling westbound on East Livingston Avenue at Rhoads Avenue at 11:49 a.m. when he struck a Volkswagen Passat, which was also heading west and attempting to make a right turn into a private driveway, according to police reports.
Jacobs was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he was declared dead at 12:16 p.m. There were no reports of additional injuries. The identity of the driver of the Volkswagen Passat has not been disclosed in the news release from the Division of Police.
