The victim, later identified as 31-year-old Dilmania Lopez de Rodriguez, was in the process of crossing Bruckner Avenue when an unidentified vehicle collided with her while making a turn off Leggett Avenue on Tuesday, August 26, shortly after midnight, according to officials.
Lopez de Rodriguez, a resident of the Bronx, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Authorities stated that the unidentified vehicle did not remain at the scene of the incident.
As of the time of this report, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
