Wesley Keith Richie Obituary, Death;- The Scott County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a single-vehicle accident on I-75 northbound in Georgetown on Sunday evening.
As reported by the coroner’s office, 63-year-old Wesley Keith Richie from Lexington was pronounced dead at the scene. One individual has perished due to a single-vehicle accident on I-75 northbound in Georgetown on Sunday evening, as stated by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies indicated that they were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on I-75 northbound near Lemons Mill Road in Georgetown at approximately 5:17 p.m. on Sunday, with initial assessments suggesting that speeding may have been a contributing factor.
Emergency crews arrived at the location around 5:23 p.m., and deputies reported that the Scott County coroner confirmed the driver was deceased upon their arrival. The identity of the individual remains unknown at this time.
It is believed that the vehicle veered off to the right side, struck the rock embankment, overturned, and subsequently slid into a guardrail, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies.
