Andrew Greer-Herrera,Trevon Evanoff Arrested; – Two individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries during a shooting incident at the Westside Village Shopping Center on the night of October 4. Investigators have identified two suspects linked to the double homicide, one of whom is an 18-year-old previously apprehended for a shooting that occurred earlier this year at a Jack in the Box drive-thru.
Authorities are actively pursuing the suspects. The Redding Police Department (RPD) has named Andrew Greer-Herrera from Lookout, California, as the primary suspect in the shooting. Additionally, an arrest warrant has been issued for Trevon Evanoff, also 18, for conspiracy related to the incident.
Evanoff had been arrested on March 21 for gross negligent discharge of a firearm in a public area, along with several other firearm-related offenses, following a verbal altercation that escalated into a shooting at the Jack in the Box drive-thru on East Cypress Avenue in Redding.
According to police reports, around 3 a.m., a dispute arose between occupants of two vehicles in the drive-thru, prompting Evanoff to exit his vehicle and confront the other party. Subsequently, as the other vehicle attempted to flee, Evanoff discharged his weapon at them, though no injuries were reported.
The investigation into the shooting on October 4 is ongoing. Police received multiple reports of gunfire and victims at the intersection of Westside Road and Meadowbrook Drive at 2:41 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased men and three additional individuals with injuries. As of the latest information, two of the injured have been discharged from the hospital, while one female victim remains hospitalized. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.
The current locations of Greer-Herrera and Evanoff are unknown. Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in locating both suspects.
