Bemnet Deresse,Eden Adugna Obituary, Death;- Cincinnati police have identified the three individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident that took place in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of the city on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities reported that a male assailant, whose name has not been disclosed, fatally shot 22-year-old Eden Adugna and 20-year-old Feven Adugna near a residence located at the intersection of Beacon Street and Glade Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. on August 31.
Additionally, he injured 27-year-old Bemnet Deresse, who was subsequently transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and passed away overnight, as stated in a news release from the department.
Following the shooting, the assailant attempted to take his own life by shooting himself, as informed by department spokesman Lt. Jonathan Cunningham during a press briefing at the scene. He was admitted to the hospital with critical injuries on August 31, and his current condition remains unknown.
Upon the arrival of officers, gunfire was still occurring, Cunningham noted. The shooting transpired both inside and outside the residence; however, further details regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting have not been disclosed.
As of Monday, there was no information available regarding the relationship between the shooting victims and the assailant.
