Gwendolyn Guyton Obituary, Death; – A woman was fatally injured in a stabbing incident at a deli in the Bronx, as reported by law enforcement officials.
The incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Jose Mini Mart, located on Southern Boulevard between East 149th Street and Avenue St. John in the Longwood area, according to police.
A 29-year-old woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition after sustaining stab wounds to her neck and chest. The victim, identified by authorities as Gwendolyn Guyton, succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
As of now, no arrests have been made. The deli’s manager indicated that a woman in her twenties, dressed in a green hoodie and blue sweatpants, was seen fleeing the scene on a scooter and is believed to be the perpetrator. Police have not disclosed any potential suspects or persons of interest at this time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
