Jack Gantz Obituary, Death; – The Delaware State Police have identified a man who was killed after his SUV was struck by a car that authorities reported was racing another vehicle on August 22 in Bear.
Jack Gantz, 75, from the Newark area, was transported to a hospital where he subsequently passed away, according to police reports.
According to the police, Gantz was operating a Chevrolet Trax heading north on Bear Christiana Road at approximately 3:20 p.m. They stated that he was positioned in the left lane as he neared Freedom Road.
Upon reaching the intersection, police indicated that Gantz initiated a left turn onto Freedom Road and was collided with by a BMW 335 that was traveling south in the right lane of Bear Christiana Road. The BMW had reportedly been observed racing an unidentified vehicle as it approached the intersection, according to police.
