Shirley Martin Obituary, Death; – One person was killed and two others injured in a Saturday afternoon crash north of Fredonia. The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim as Shirley Martin, 82, of Buffalo.
Martin was Southbound on Harper Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign at US 400 and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Brittany Sweet of Wichita.
Martin, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sweet and passenger Mariah Tucker of Belle Plaine were taken to a Wichita hospital with reported serious injuries.
A third passenger in the Sweet vehicle was not injured.
