Joseph Kane Obituary, Death;- On Tuesday, law enforcement officials identified the individual who lost his life in a fire at a homeless encampment situated behind Lowe’s on Old Gate Lane last Friday afternoon.
Brianna MacDonald, an officer from the Milford Police Department, confirmed that the deceased was Joseph Kane, aged 57. MacDonald stated that the investigation into Kane’s death is still in progress and that no arrests have been made thus far.
Authorities reported that the fire broke out around 12:15 p.m. in a wooded area behind the store, where there were fewer than a dozen encampments. Additionally, police indicated that another person and a firefighter sustained injuries during the incident.
