Chamroon Sasser Obituary, Death;- A motorcycle passenger was killed and the driver has “serious” injuries in a collision with a semi-truck, according to police.
The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. Aug. 11 on northbound U.S. 95, just south of mile marker 107. There, officials said a semi-truck and a motorcycle collided. Investigators believe the motorcycle made an unsafe lane change, causing the semi-truck to strike it.
The motorcyclist and a passenger were thrown from the vehicle. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, while the passenger, identified as Chamroon Sasser, 69, of Henderson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command reports 40 fatal crashes to date in 2025, resulting in 41 deaths. The agency’s Traffic Homicide Unit will investigate the deadly crash.
