Ryan Michael Bate Arrested; – The individual suspected of fatally shooting two officers has been identified via the Weber County Jail roster.
Ryan Michael Bate, aged 33, has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder and one count of assault. He was taken into custody on Monday morning. Public records indicate that Bate was previously arrested in May 2024 for domestic violence in the presence of a child, aggravated assault, and property damage.
He was dismissed without prejudice. Additionally, a protective order was issued in 2019 for the victim mentioned in the 2024 affidavit.
