Carlos Meza Ignacio Arrested; – Authorities are currently searching for a 31-year-old man linked to a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday in the 3600 block of Buford Highway.

Brookhaven Police have announced that they are looking for Carlos Meza Ignacio following a shooting that resulted in the death of an individual with whom he had been drinking inside an apartment. The incident took place around 2:45 a.m.

According to police, an argument erupted while they were drinking, concerning Ignacio’s alleged possession of a firearm. It is alleged that Ignacio then shot the unidentified individual, who succumbed to their injuries.

Police reported that Ignacio was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, brown shorts, and a black hat. He has a scar on his left eye and several tattoos, which include a horse on his left forearm, Saint Jude on his back, and lettering on his neck.

“Currently, there is no information available regarding any vehicle. Authorities warn that Meza Ignacio should be regarded as armed and dangerous, and they advise the public not to approach him,” stated police in a news release.

Warrants have been issued for Ignacio, charging him with murder, first-degree and third-degree cruelty to children, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and criminal damage to property, according to police.
