Angelo Leivas Obituary, Death; – A man was shot and killed in Moreno Valley, and a 19-year-old suspect remained in custody as of Saturday.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Moreno Valley station responded to the 13000 block of Day Street at around 4 a.m. on Friday following reports of an assault involving a deadly weapon.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, later identified as Jacob Necochea from Banning, reportedly fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Necochea was apprehended and questioned after his vehicle was located in Moreno Valley approximately one hour later, according to authorities. He was subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of murder.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Angelo Leivas from Banning.
