Gene Reinhard Obituary, Death; – A 67-year-old man from Bluffton lost his life in a motor vehicle accident on Friday morning in Hebron.
As reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office, investigators arrived at the crash site near 181st Avenue and Union Street at 10:01 a.m. The victim has been identified by his family as Gene Reinhard, 67, from Bluffton, Indiana.
Authorities indicated that Reinhard suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and was declared dead at 10:42 a.m. by an investigator from the Lake County Coroner’s Office. The cause of death has been determined to be an accident.
An autopsy is set to take place on Monday at the Lake County Forensic Center located in Crown Point. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, the sheriff’s crime scene unit, and Tri-Creek EMS. No further information regarding the crash or any other vehicles involved has been disclosed.
