Joshua Andrew Ramirez Obituary, Death; – One person was killed and another injured in a head-on collision Thursday night on State Highway 302 in Loving County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the crash happened around 10:20 p.m., August 14, near mile marker 203. Preliminary information shows that a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound when it veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2019 International semi-truck towing a trailer.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as 39-year-old Joshua Andrew Ramirez of Lubbock, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck, 41-year-old Mariza Herrera Guerrero of El Centro, California, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. She was transported to Winkler County Memorial Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
