Danny Richards,Sabrina Richards Obituary, Death; – NEWSCHAIN is learning new details about the three people authorities say were killed by a 15-year-old family member in Harnett County on Tuesday night.

Deputies responded shortly after 5:15 p.m. to a possible assault at the home. They found two dead inside the house, and another person was found with a gunshot wound. She died at the hospital, deputies confirmed on Wednesday morning.

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the identities of the three:

57-year-old Danny Richards
54-year-old Sabrina Richards
74-year-old Clara Richards
The US Army told ABC11 that Danny and Sabrina Richards were both former Army servicemembers who deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2004 to 2005. Danny served from 1987 to 2017, while Sabrina served from 2002-2017.

Clara Richards has been identified as Danny’s mother.

A former Army colleague shared photos of the couple with ABC11, calling them “the definition of selfless service”. Another friend from the Army described them as kind, loving people who would go out of their way to help anyone who needed it.

Neither the Army colleagues nor friends NEWSCHAIN spoke with wanted to appear on camera, and we’ve been unable to speak with family members.
