Cynthia Schade,Donna Stevens Obituary, Death; – Two people were killed in a collision involving three vehicles, and a driver was arrested on multiple charges in Burnet County on Sunday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at 2:43 p.m. on August 10 off Ranch Road 165 when a black Mercedes SUV rear-ended a Subaru Outlander.
The impact caused the Outlander to spin into the opposite lane, where a Hyundai Santa Fe struck it. The driver and passenger of the Outlander, identified as Cynthia Schade and Donna Stevens, were pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the Hyundai Santa Fe were transported to a medical facility for treatment.
The driver of the Mercedes, Alexandra Jackson, fled the scene but was later apprehended. She faces several charges, including two counts of intoxication manslaughter, two counts of intoxication assault, two counts of accident involving death, two counts of accident involving serious bodily injury, two counts of tampering with evidence, and possession of marijuana under two ounces.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
