Daniel Herron Obituary, Death; – Deputies are investigating a deadly two-car crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old Greendale Township man.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened Tuesday, Aug. 12 at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of West Isabella and South Coleman Roads.
The sheriff’s office said that a man, identified as Daniel Herron, was driving a 2019 Kawasaki KAF400 northbound on South Coleman. As he entered the intersection, the sheriff said he was hit by a 2021 Toyota Sienna that was going eastbound, driven by a 34-year-old Traverse City woman.
The sheriff said Herron was taken to a local hospital by EMS, where he died from his injuries. The woman was also taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. The sheriff said three minor passengers in the 34-year-old woman’s car were not injured.
Toxicology results are pending to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, the sheriff said. A final report will be sent to the Midland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The sheriff said Herron was not wearing a helmet.
