Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack Obituary, Death; – A motorist tragically lost her life when her vehicle collided with a guardrail on a highway in the Twin Cities and subsequently struck an SUV as the evening rush hour was concluding, according to officials.
The series of collisions took place around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday on Interstate 694 at Hwy. 10 in Arden Hills, as reported by the State Patrol.
The deceased driver was identified by the patrol as Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack, a 21-year-old resident of Brooklyn Park. The patrol noted that she was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
Her two passengers, Ayan Ali Hassan, aged 20, from Fridley, and Fatima Mursal Jaamac, aged 21, from Brooklyn Park, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the patrol.
As per the patrol’s report:
Sharif-Isaack was traveling westbound on I-694 when she veered from the right lane to the left shoulder, colliding with a guardrail. Following this impact, she struck an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, Lynie Rose Lee, 41, from Maplewood, was fortunate to escape without injury.
