Ju Nine Obituary, Death;- A woman from Utica lost her life after being struck by a minivan while walking along Mapledale Road in Bridgewater shortly before midnight on Monday, August 11, 2025.
According to troopers, at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Monday, State Police were dispatched to a report of a car-pedestrian collision near Bridgewater. Police stated that troopers arrived at the vicinity of State Route 8, close to Mapledale Road in Bridgewater, where they found the fatal incident.
An initial investigation revealed that a 2018 Dodge Caravan, driven by 71-year-old Lysle A. Jones from Leonardsville, NY, was heading southbound when it collided with a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as 50-year-old Ju Nine from Utica, NY, was declared dead at the scene, as reported by the police.
Troopers from the New York State Police received assistance at the scene from the Bridgewater Fire Department.
