Adrian Aaron Aaby Obituary, Death; – A man is currently in custody following the discovery of human remains on the roadside in Nevada City last month.
As reported by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation commenced on July 21 when a father and son stumbled upon human remains on Banner Quaker Hill Road and promptly contacted 911 for assistance.
The remains were subsequently identified as belonging to Adrian Aaron Aaby, 48, from Grass Valley. Evidence indicated that Aaby’s death was a result of homicide, and a person of interest was identified as Damon Abraham, 49, also from Grass Valley.
Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for Abraham on charges of homicide, in addition to a search warrant.
A search of Abraham’s residence took place on August 7 while he was absent, and he was apprehended the same day in Sacramento by California State Parks on unrelated charges.
He is now in custody for homicide and will be transferred to the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
