Alexes Napoleon Perez Rivera,Samuel Ignacio Hernandez Cervantes Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the driver and passenger who died after their vehicle crashed into a guardrail on Highway 99 on Friday.
Alexes Napoleon Perez Rivera, 20, of Bakersfield, was the driver of a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Highway 99 north of Union Avenue at 11:17 p.m., according to coroner’s officials.
Rivera then hit the metal guardrail and the vehicle lost control, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Samuel Ignacio Hernandez Cervantes, also a 20-year-old man from Bakersfield, was a passenger in the vehicle and was ejected.
Both Rivera and Cervantes were pronounced dead at the scene. Two female passengers were taken to Kern Medical with major injuries, according to officials.
