Anthony Peplinski Obituary, Death; – Investigators report that a 27-year-old man, who passed away on Monday following a collision in Spencer, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on Highway 13, close to Merkel Road. This section of the highway remained closed until 4 p.m.
The crash report did not provide any information or conjecture regarding the reasons that led Anthony Peplinski to enter the opposing lane that morning. Peplinski, a resident of Spencer, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi sustained minor injuries.
Assistance was provided by several agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Spencer Fire/EMS, Marshfield Fire/EMS, Marshfield Police Department, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office.
