Daisy Valenzuela Vines Obituary, Death; – The Pigeon Forge Police Department has reported that a woman who was struck by a vehicle on Friday has passed away.
As stated by Chief Richard Catlett, the incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. when 58-year-old Daisy Valenzuela Vines, from Ooltewah, was hit while attempting to cross Dollywood Lane at the intersection with U.S. 441.
She was transported by air to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved in the incident, identified as 18-year-old Bryson Cooper from Kodak, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with law enforcement, according to Catlett.
Catlett further mentioned that the investigation into the details surrounding the crash is still in progress and is anticipated to be concluded by Wednesday. Upon completion, the results will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for evaluation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this unfortunate incident,” Catlett expressed.
