Edward Townsend Obituary, Death; – Officers with the Lancaster County Police Department were searching for a man on Tuesday accused of killing another Lancaster County man at an apartment complex on Monday night, according to officials.
Lancaster police said on Monday, Aug. 11 around 9:30 p.m. officers responded to Palmetto Place Apartments off Pardue Street in regards to a shooting.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex they found 57-year-old Edward Townsend suffering from a gunshot wound. Townsend was transferred to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police identified 56-year-old James Singleton as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Lancaster police said they do not have a known address or know if a vehicle is associated with him. Singleton is believed to be on foot and search for him is on-going, according to police
