James Dennis Macpherson Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the closure of Interstate 91 South for several hours. The incident took place at approximately 1:20 p.m. near Exit 40, as reported by state police.
Two pickup trucks were traveling in the right lane of I-91 when the second truck lost control, veering off the highway before returning to the lane and colliding with the first truck. Following the impact, the second pickup again veered off the highway and rolled over into the grass.
The driver of the second pickup, identified as 38-year-old James Dennis Macpherson from Manchester, sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A passenger in Macpherson’s vehicle sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the first pickup was unharmed, according to police reports. Authorities are requesting that anyone who witnessed the accident or possesses dashcam footage of the event contact Trooper Michael Dean at 860-534-1098.
