Chance McCowin Obituary, Death; – One individual has lost their life and two others have sustained critical injuries following a shooting incident in North Omaha.
Emergency responders administered CPR to a 22-year-old victim, named Chance McCowin, while en route to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away, according to investigators.
The other two victims, identified as 32-year-old Dontavis Montgomery and 24-year-old Tai’Jianea Henderson, are reported to be in stable condition, as per Omaha police.
Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene of the gunfire during a Native Omaha Days event shortly after midnight on Monday, near the intersection of North 24th Street and Patrick Avenue.
Authorities indicated that a confrontation precipitated the fatal shooting. “If your loved ones are present in this area, please advise them to return home,” stated Omaha police Capt. Ken Fox. “Ensure that your loved ones are safely at home.”
