Joshua Parson Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist has lost his life following a collision with an SUV in Madison.
The incident involving a Kawasaki Ninja and a Honda Pilot took place on Gallatin Pike close to Twin Hills Drive at 10:15 PM on Saturday. The motorcyclist, who has been identified as 44-year-old Joshua Parson from Nashville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Metro Nashville Police.
The driver was attempting to make a left turn onto Gallatin Pike from Target when the crash occurred. Authorities are currently investigating whether the motorcyclist’s speed may have hindered the driver’s ability to see him.
Friends of the motorcyclist arrived at the scene, having reportedly been with him at a nearby restaurant prior to the incident. They informed officers that he appeared to be impaired and that they had attempted to take his keys, as stated by the police.
There were no indications of impairment from the driver of the Honda; however, the driver’s obligation to yield the right of way is being examined as a potential contributing factor to the accident as the investigation proceeds.
