Nevaeh Wilson Obituary, Death; – A woman who was fatally wounded by gunfire during an East Nashville block party has been identified as Nevaeh Wilson, 20, of Nashville.
On August 2 around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to multiple calls regarding shots fired from 2405 Oakwood Avenue to 2608 Oakwood Avenue. Witnesses at the block party explained that individuals began shooting and exchanging gunfire for an unknown reason.
Wilson had reportedly attended the party and was attempting to run away when gunfire erupted. She was found with a gunshot wound to her lower back. She was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died.
Additionally, a 24-year-old male gunshot victim was transported by personal vehicle to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
