Daryus Chambers Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist was killed on Friday night on Interstate 65 North just behind the Briley Parkway exit, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The motorcyclist was identified as 37-year-old Daryus Chambers, of Antioch.
Police said Chambers and another motorcyclist were driving north on I-65 just before 11 p.m. when Chambers reportedly struck a tractor-trailer.
Chambers reportedly lost control and crashed on the interstate.
The second motorcycle, driven by an 18-year-old, ran over Chambers and also crashed, police said.
Chambers died at the scene. The other motorcyclist received non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said it is likely the driver of the tractor-trailer did not know the rig was hit because it kept driving.
