David Lindberg Obituary, Death; CHP: Rider killed after his motorcycle collides with deer on Highway 36 in Trinity County

David Lindberg Obituary, Death; – A man in his early 70s was killed Thursday afternoon when the motorcycle he was on collided with a deer on Highway 36 in Trinity County, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported around 2:15 p.m. near mile-post marker 33.8.

When emergency personnel arrived, they found a 2019 Honda Super Cub C125 on its side on the gravel shoulder of the highway, the CHP said.

Investigators later determined that the motorcycle appeared to have collided with a deer, which caused the rider to be ejected on to the road. The rider was wearing a helmet, the CHP said.

The rider was identified as David Lindberg, the CHP said.

The CHP is still investigating the accident and anyone with information is asked to call the Trinity River CHP office at 530-623-3832.
