Megan Peterkin Obituary, Death; – The Clark County Medical Examiner has identified the woman found dead back in early May in an apartment fire.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours of May 2 at a three-story apartment building on East 5th Street. Arriving firefighters called out a second alarm response, and crews had the flames under control within a half hour.
Emergency responders say they found Megan Peterkin, 38, of Vancouver, dead inside the building.
The medical examiner confirmed Thursday (July 31) that Peterkin died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries, and ruled her death an accident.
