Sandy Underwood Arrested; Felony charges filed against woman accused of stabbing victim at St. Charles apartment

Sandy Underwood Arrested; – A woman from St. Charles is facing felony charges related to a stabbing incident that resulted in injuries to another woman on Tuesday afternoon.

As reported by the police, 39-year-old Sandy Underwood has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm, aggravated battery involving a deadly weapon, and two counts of domestic battery.

Authorities indicate that these charges were filed following a stabbing that reportedly took place at an apartment complex in St. Charles. Officers were initially dispatched to the location just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a report of a stabbing incident.

Upon their arrival, officers encountered Underwood, who allegedly informed them that she had just stabbed another woman. The officers took Underwood into custody and subsequently found the victim in a nearby apartment shortly thereafter.

The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds and was later transported to the hospital via helicopter. Underwood was subsequently taken to the Kane County Jail for a detention hearing, where she has remained in custody since her arrest.
