Mary Ann Orr Obituary, Death; – A 67-year-old woman passed away after attempting to intervene in a dog fight in South Carolina, according to officials. Emergency responders were summoned to a residence where a woman had suffered an attack by a dog.
The woman was transported to a hospital on July 21 and succumbed to her injuries more than a week later, as reported by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner. The deceased dog owner has been identified as Mary Ann Orr. “Initial investigations indicate that the victim’s dogs started fighting, and she attempted to separate them when one of the dogs turned on her and began to attack,” the coroner’s office stated in a news release on July 29.
The unfortunate incident occurred at Orr’s residence in Easley, located approximately 10 miles west of downtown Greenville. She died from “multiple traumatic injuries,” and her death has been classified as an accident, according to officials. As of July 29, Coroner Greg Shore mentioned that his office, along with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, was looking into Orr’s death.
