Vincent Adkins Obituary, Death; – The Omaha Police Department has disclosed the identity of the individual who was fatally stabbed on Tuesday morning.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the deceased man was identified as 58-year-old Vincent Adkins.
The OPD arrived at the location near the intersection of 13th and Castelar streets shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Police informed First Alert 6 that the stabbing resulted from a confrontation between two men.
Officers discovered Adkins in the basement of a residence, unresponsive, and initiated CPR at the scene. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The OPD reported that a man present at the scene was taken to Central Headquarters for interrogation.
The investigation remains active.
