Jake Strampe Obituary, Death; – The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of a victim involved in a deadly accident that occurred at the junction of Schutte Road and Highway 33 in the Town of La Valle.
Jake Strampe, 42, a La Valle resident, lost his life following a collision between two vehicles on Monday afternoon.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the SUV was heading west on State Highway 33 and crossed the centerline while the dump truck was traveling east. The two vehicles collided at the intersection. State Highway 33 at Schutte Road remained closed for several hours.
Strampe was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the dump truck was taken to the Reedsburg Area Medical Center for medical attention. His current condition is unknown.
