Chad Allen Dittmer,Sara Elizabeth Tourte Obituary, Death; – Three individuals who lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision late Sunday night have been named. The incident occurred when one vehicle traveling northbound collided with another heading eastbound at the intersection of Northeast 46th Street and Northeast 94th Avenue, located north of Bondurant and east of Ankeny, shortly before 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The northbound vehicle was driven by 16-year-old Chad Allen Dittmer from Elkhart, as reported by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The eastbound vehicle was operated by 38-year-old Kolby Joseph Drees of Bondurant, with 34-year-old Sara Elizabeth Tourte of Altoona as his passenger.
All three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, with no survivors from the crash. Preliminary evidence and witness accounts suggest that Dittmer did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection. Additionally, it is indicated that speed may have contributed to the incident. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
