Justin Puckly Obituary, Death; Police searching for vehicle that struck and killed a Waterford man on Route 19 July 19

Justin Puckly Obituary, Death;- Pennsylvania State Police investigators continue to seek information that may assist in identifying the vehicle involved in the fatal incident that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man on July 19.

Troopers examining the accident on Route 19 in Waterford Township, which resulted in the death of the individual identified by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook as Justin Puckly, a resident of Waterford, are in the process of gathering and analyzing surveillance footage from the vicinity as part of their ongoing investigation, as stated by state police.

Puckly was reportedly walking south on Route 19, just south of the borough, when he was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. The incident was reported to state police on July 19 at 1:21 a.m. in the 12900 block of Route 19.

Puckly was declared dead at the scene at 2:07 a.m. on July 19, having succumbed to multiple blunt-force trauma, according to Cook. Following the accident, state police announced that they were seeking witnesses who may have observed any vehicles passing through the roundabout north of the accident site between 12:55 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. on July 19.
