Kennedy Miguel Herrejon Obituary, Death;- New Braunfels police and fire officials have stated that they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 37-year-old man following a house fire that occurred on Monday afternoon.

The New Braunfels Fire Department received a call regarding a structure fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of McCrae, located near West Klein Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a two-story residence fully engulfed in flames.

As reported by the city, the firefighters battled the flames, which were starting to “spread into the subfloor between the first and second story.”

Once the fire was brought under control, officials indicated that they reentered the residence and discovered a man inside. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the man, identified by the city as Kennedy Miguel Herrejon, had also sustained “an apparent gunshot wound” in addition to injuries from the fire.

The exact cause of Herrejon’s death has not yet been established. No additional injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.

Currently, it remains uncertain whether any criminal factors are involved in this case.

The city has indicated that some members of the New Braunfels fire department and police officers are still present at the scene as their investigation proceeds.
