Julia Hyman Obituary, Death; – One of the four individuals who lost their lives in the tragic shooting in Midtown Manhattan has been identified as Julia Hyman, a graduate of Cornell University from the class of 2020 and an associate at Rudin Management, the firm that owns 345 Park Avenue.

According to sources reported by The New York Post, Hyman was shot when 27-year-old Shane Tamura entered the building’s lobby on Monday evening and proceeded to the 33rd floor, where Rudin’s offices are situated. Investigators suspect that Tamura may have aimed to target the NFL offices located on the lower floors but inadvertently ended up in Rudin’s suite, where he opened fire.

Hyman’s LinkedIn profile verified her position at Rudin Management, where she had been employed since her graduation from Cornell. Friends and colleagues have described her as ambitious, intelligent, and profoundly dedicated to her career in real estate and property management.

A bullet hole was later observed in a window close to the scene of the shooting as NYPD officers secured the area outside.

This incident follows the earlier identification of Wesley LePatner, a senior executive at Blackstone, as another victim of this senseless attack. LePatner was a prominent figure in institutional real estate, serving as the Global Head of Core+ Real Estate and CEO of BREIT.

Tamura, who had a revoked gun permit and a documented history of mental illness, reportedly left a note that mentioned CTE and blamed the NFL, despite never having played professional football.
