Alexander Puentes Obituary, Death; – Authorities report that a 15-year-old boy was tragically shot during a confrontation at a community outreach event over the weekend in Tulsa.
Around 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, law enforcement responded to a shooting incident at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, located at the intersection of 27th Street and 129th East Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The adolescent was transported to a nearby hospital, where officials stated he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later. The Tulsa Police Department has identified the deceased as Alexander Puentes.
An investigation revealed that the church was conducting a community outreach event at the time of the shooting. Detectives found that a dispute had taken place earlier in the evening, which escalated during the event.
As per police reports, another teenager entered the event and initiated a fight with the victim. The suspect then brandished a firearm, shot the 15-year-old boy, and subsequently fled the scene. The Tulsa Police Department has identified the individual responsible for the shooting and is actively pursuing an arrest.
