Salvador Gallegos Jr Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man killed by an alleged drunken driver in a crash early Sunday.
The man was identified as Salvador Gallegos Jr., 35, of Bakersfield.
Gallegos Jr. was driving on Fairfax Road at around 12:30 a.m. when a man driving a pickup truck and suspected of DUI drifted in Gallegos’ vehicle causing a head-on collision.
Gallegos Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspected DUI driver, identified as Juan Rangel, was arrested and booked into the Lerdo jail for gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
