Hector Bococ,Maria Maquin Obituary, Death;- Two adults lost their lives in a significant traffic accident on Interstate 35 northbound at the 311 exit ramp on Saturday night in Troy.
At around 8:15 p.m., the Troy Police Department responded to reports of a collision involving a Dodge Ram pickup, which had come to a stop on the shoulder of the interstate while the occupants were attempting to change a flat tire. During this time, a teenager was standing in the grass median nearby.
Investigators reported that a Kia Optima swerved off the main traffic lanes and collided with the rear of the Dodge Ram. The two adult occupants of the Ram, identified as Hector Bococ, 35, and Maria Maquin, 34, both residents of Cedar Park, were declared dead at the scene by Bell County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Fisher.
The teenager was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and has since been reunited with family members. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
Authorities from the Troy Police Department received assistance from the Temple Police, Texas Department of Public Safety, Troy Volunteer Fire Department, 121 Towing, Ward’s Wrecker, and Temple EMS.
