Betty E Campbell Obituary, Death; – One individual lost their life, and another was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh following a motorcycle accident in Butler County on Saturday afternoon.
The Pennsylvania State Police arrived at Route 38 (Oneida Valley Road) in Washington Township shortly after 1 p.m. and discovered the motorcycle in a creek bed.
The incident occurred along the route designated for the Riding for the Cure event. An event organizer reported that several motorcyclists stopped to assist at the location.
According to police, the operator of a three-wheeled motorcycle traveling south on Route 38 began to drift off the roadway as he neared the intersection with Annisville Road, subsequently crossing the centerline and colliding with a guiderail.
A passenger, identified as Betty E. Campbell, aged 66, from Butler, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital with serious injuries, as reported by the police.
