Christopher Liszak,Chandler Dill Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the individuals involved in a tragic incident that occurred on Friday outside a beachfront extended-stay hotel in Boca Raton. The victims, a 49-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were fatally shot following a dispute that originated between the woman and the alleged shooter.

Investigators have confirmed that Christopher Liszak and Chandler Dill, both residents of Oakland Park, succumbed to gunshot injuries sustained during a confrontation with De’Vante Moss. Moss was apprehended by law enforcement in Georgia on Saturday, less than 24 hours after the incident took place in a parking lot on North Ocean Boulevard.

The police have withheld the identity of another individual who was injured in the shooting, referring to him as a witness. Moss, a resident of Boynton Beach, remained in custody on Monday in Laurens County, Georgia, located southeast of Macon. Authorities are preparing to extradite him to Palm Beach County to face murder charges related to the deaths of Liszak and Dill.

During a press conference held on Monday, Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer commended the police department for their prompt action in apprehending a suspect within a day of the tragic events.

“The incident on Friday night was particularly shocking given the rarity of homicides and violent acts in our city,” Singer remarked. “While this was an isolated occurrence, the rapid response from our police department exemplifies their ongoing commitment to excellence.” According to a database maintained by the Palm Beach Post, the city recorded one homicide in 2023 and had experienced three prior to the recent fatal shootings, including a murder-suicide on Labor Day.

Police Chief Michelle Miuccio informed reporters that the investigation revealed Dill had rented a room at the hotel located just north of East Palmetto Park Road and was present with Moss before the deadly confrontation.

It appears that an argument ensued between Moss and Dill, leading Moss to exit the room with Dill’s purse. Miuccio stated that Dill pursued Moss and confronted him near a silver four-door Jaguar while attempting to retrieve her purse. At that moment, a man approached in an attempt to intervene, after which Moss exited the vehicle.
