Aldo Weddington Arrested; – A man from Knoxville has been charged with driving under the influence following a fatal incident involving a pedestrian on Thursday night, as reported by police records accessed by WVLT News. The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Murphy Road at Shannon Valley Farms Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Upon their arrival, troopers discovered that a pedestrian had been struck by an SUV operated by 46-year-old Aldo Weddington, resulting in the pedestrian’s death.

Court documents indicate that troopers engaged with Weddington, who admitted to driving the SUV and colliding with the pedestrian, whose identity remains undisclosed. During their conversation, troopers observed signs that led them to suspect Weddington was under the influence; his pupils were constricted, he was sweating excessively, and his speech was notably slow and slurred.

Weddington reportedly informed the troopers that he had consumed marijuana in the weeks prior and was also taking medication for anxiety. He subsequently failed all administered field sobriety tests.

Furthermore, court records revealed that Weddington was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. As a result, Weddington has been charged with DUI and driving without a license.
